We are so excited to have Pastor Brian Gandy share from God's word as our guest speaker. Brian Gandy has been called to train village pastors in Africa and India.
Brian takes theological and practical training to remote pastors who cannot afford to leave their villages, churches, and families to pursue training in Bible colleges and seminaries.
He also ministers to persecuted pastors in some dangerous places in India where persecution has been heavy. Brian also pastors a small fellowship of Asian Indians here in Phoenix.
Brian and Denice have been married for 39 years and have one married adult daughter and 4 grandchildren. Brian was a long-haul truck driver for 25 years. God called him into full-time ministry while he was stuck in a snowstorm in Iowa. For the next 6 years, his truck became his mobile school of ministry. In 2006 Brian sold his truck and volunteered at a local church in Phoenix and in 2010 he was hired onto the full-time pastoral staff and was later ordained as a pastor.
Shortly after moving into full-time ministry, God called Brian to go to India. On his first trip to India, he saw the need for training of village pastors. These village pastors do not normally have an education past the 10th grade and some are illiterate. On his second visit to India, he knew this is what the Lord was wanting for the focus and direction of his ministry. Also, during this time Brian started a fellowship of Asian Indian believers in Phoenix which he still pastors to this day.
Brian resigned from his full-time pastoral position in 2015 and now he travels to India and Africa to train village pastors. He generally travels to India 3 times per year and is training pastors in Nepal and Thailand as well. Besides his theological and practical training of village pastors, the Lord has opened the door for him to minister to persecuted pastors in India.
